The Annual SKATE the LAKE Winter Festival has been a New Year’s Eve tradition since 1996. Winter Festival offers ice-skating, fireworks, fire barrel bonfires, sleigh rides, food, music and ice games such as pick-up hockey and broom-stick hockey along with games/ activities (face painting), food vendors, music and dancing all on firm ground!
2012 New Year’s Eve festivities:
- Old Tyme Hockey on the Lake! 3rd annual Youth Pond Hockey Tournament
- Ice sculptures featuring the work of Michael Campe of Colorado Ice Sculptures .
ICE SKATE RENTALS ARE LIMITED. Please plan on bringing your own skates, if at all possible. If you do choose to rent skates, try to arrive early. The Evergreen Lake House rents skates for the evening for $7.00.
